I had the opportunity to try out Top Secret Nutrition BCAA Hyperblend Energy for the past few weeks and pulled together this more in depth than my usual review:What dosage did I use?I took one serving (1 scoop - 5.6 grams) during my workout every day, with none on my rest days.What is in it?Being a BCAA, one would hope that there were some branched-chain amino acids in there - and there are! A 3:1:1 ratio (Leucine : Isoleucine : Valine) to be exact. What does this mean to you? Well the ratio most studied and suggested is 2:1:1. At first you might think, well more is better right? Well, not always. Many manufacturers produce BCAA products with much higher Leucine concentrations (I have seen up to 16:1:1) because Leucine is thought to be the key ingredient and largest contributor to muscle growth. However when concentrations are too high they can cause inverse effects due to competition with the other ingredients. With this product they play it safe and only offer a slightly higher than studied ratio - thumbs up on their part!In addition to BCAAs you will also find caffeine in this product. Caffeine has shown great results in fat loss, energy (obviously) and muscle growth, just be aware of all the sources you may be getting it from aside from this product. That is not all folks, in just your single dose you will also get two additional ingredients that they call the anabolic blend: Ursolic Acid and Homobrassinolide. Both of which have shown positive effects on increasing lean muscle mass although the product does not indicate the quantities so we cannot tell if they are providing "enough".How did I think it tasted?If you have read any of my reviews before you know that this is my least weighted category because if its beneficial and it tastes horrible, I am still going to take it - good taste is a bonus. I had the watermelon flavor and drank it throughout my workout - not a single complaint as far as taste!So ... did it work?It works great for me! The caffeine worked well with any pre-workout supplement I took in order to carry me through my workouts and recovery was noticeably better than when compared to working out without BCAA supplementation.Is it worth it?At $33.99 for 30 servings directly from Top Secret Nutrition you are looking at about $1.14 a serving however using the promo code AVGFITFREAK you can get it for only $0.85 a serving making it well worth it. * BCAA HyperBlend Energy Powder from Top Secret Nutrition * I love this product, ittastes great. I have no side affects from the extra caffeine, that is important to me. Idrink coffee all day at work. I feel poweful from start to finish in my workout/training. I don't have the muscle soreness when taking this product. Overall it is a greatpre-workout product.

Awesome pre-workout

Great pre-workout and BCAA supplement. Great for those with a sensitivity to stimulants because there are only 150 mg of caffeine in 1 serving. You don't crash off of this product after your workout. This also means you can stack it with other pre-workouts. Flavor is pretty good but really strong and really sweet. I'd like the sweetness toned down a bit.
