WalMart Whey

I really like this whey because you can find it really cheap. And since most of your diet should come from natural foods anyway, this is a really great supplement.I was actually asked as I was walking with this product in Wal-Mart, if it works. I'm not sure what "if it works" means, but I think it had something to do with whether or not it shreds you into a muscle building behemoth. Or maybe about weight loss. Well, I could only tell him that a few years back I was about 170 lbs and 5'6". So I looked like the Michelin man. A lot of soft tissue muscle. It's what most fitness people would call "fat fit". Which you can tell I have muscle but it also had a LOT of undefined bulk. So...yeah, I could bench press a Buick, but looked disproportionate. So, I wanted to get lean. Body Fortress was great in helping me shred down to 148lbs. in a year. I drank one in the morning and ate light meals the rest of the day, while still lifting. And I spent 2o minutes on a stairclimber once a week.That's it.So, it's not a magical elixir to shred pounds. BUT it's a decent taste (sometimes I'd mix it with VitaminWater--don't care the contents of that...gotta draw the line somewhere). And I use the recycle the bottle to shake the mix up in. And the price is better than the ones endorsed by celebrities. One last thing...if you are a body builder...as one reviewer mentioned...it'd probably be a good idea to add more amino acid to your mix. Muscle breakdown needs serious repair.

Great taste and value

I lost 80 lbs. about twelve years ago, and have successfully kept it off with diet and exercise. However, I have always wanted to lose those last ten pounds and, although I lift weights, I wasn't as "cut" as I wanted to be. I read about whey protein and its metabolism enhancing abilities, so I gave Body Fortress Chocolate Peanut Butter a shot. I am so thankful I did! Within just a couple days, I noticed a difference in my body's muscle definition and felt much more energized through my day, and less hungry all the time. After a week, I had lost 4 lbs. I drink a shake made of one scoop of powder and water, prepared in a blender bottle, one as soon as I wake up and one directly after my workout. It tastes pretty good, the flavor reminds me of a well-known brand of weight loss shakes.This isn't some miracle drink to lose weight, you have to put in the effort of exercising and eating reasonably. However, if you're an active person this is a great way to give yourself an edge with something good for you. One thing I will mention though is that this is sold at Wal-Mart for $14.98, so if you have a way to just buy it there you could save yourself almost half the price.

Best Value Protein

First, I want point out that at my walmart, I can get this for 15 bucks. $15 is the price I'm basing this review on. I would not give it 5 stars for the price it is on here. No disrespect to amazon, but I'm just saying.Ive used a lot more expensive products, so I know what to compare it to. For it's price range, it's an excellent product. There's nothing wrong with using this protein, it'll work.Protein:calories Ratio Good. 26 grams protein for 140 cals. Definitely acceptable.Mixability Better than I expected. I mixed 2 scoops in about 16 ounces of water with a knife and it actually almost all dissolved within 20 seconds. Ive seen far worse. No major clumping.Taste Not terrible. I wouldn't call it great, but it is drinkable even in water. In milk it's pretty good. If the added calories aren't a concern, I would suggest adding .5-1 tablespoon of peanut butter to it. That greatly improves the flavor.I'm giving this flavor of the product 5 stars for its quality relative to its price. Yes, there are better products out there, but for 2-3 times the cost. I think body fortress did a great job of making a decent product for an affordable price.
