The Amino you need all day

This product is excellent. I pour several scoupes in a Gallon of water, put in the fridge and the next day I drink this all day long. Excellent flavor. Price was excellent compared to what other suppiers.

Delicious and Nutritious

I love the way this tastes and I do get a little "vita-boost" of energy when I start drinking it! It doesn't contain any caffine so I attribut this energy to the B vitamin it contains. Have noticed that I am not quite as sore after my workouts too. A great supplement to add to your daily regiment!

My impressions

This is my first foray into BCAA's. About a year and a half ago I set a goal for myself. I have now lost 36 pounds and am in my adding muscle phase, thus my interest in BCAA's and Whey.This review is for the Xtend Refreshing Grape flavor.Mixability: Poor with reservations. The issue is I haven't used any other BCAA powders to compare this to, but using a blender ball shaker cup I found this powder to be difficult to get to dissolve fully. However, they do suggest to mix, then wait, then mix again. Doing that I found that it did indeed finally mix pretty much completely. Another reviewer suggested mixing the night before which may also have merit.Taste: I find the Refreshing Grape to taste good. It tastes like Kool-Aid. HOWEVER, I had an aftertaste in my mouth for hours until I was able to eat something else to get rid of it. I attribute it to the artificial sweeter used.Packaging: The tub it comes in is pretty cool looking. That said, it is very disappointing in one aspect. I understand the important of marketing to getting people to buy your product, but as you can see from the pic I posted the tub comes less than half full. The official excuse, of course, is "settling may occur during shipment." That is certainly true, and if it was say, an inch below the top I would agree, however, it is painfully obvious they are using a container that is 200% larger than necessary so that their product looks like a good deal on the shelf, being as big or bigger than their competitors.Value: This is where I considered rating the product as one star. While they claim 30 servings (2 scoops per serving), the label recommends the dose for a male is 4 scoops, so in reality you get 15 servings for $20 or $1.34 per serving.Benefits: This is where it gets sketchy. Since I have a specific goal in mind and will work very hard to reach that goal, I have been drinking Whey and now BCAA's to help me meet that goal. Do they make a difference? It is difficult to determine. There are studies that say BCAA's are fabulous, however, the studies are underwritten by, you guess it, the manufactures of the products. See buyer beware.For me, busting my *** in the gym 5 days a week, I am willing to spend the several hundred dollars needed to help support my program to meet my goal. May be money wasted, who knows.
