Google "Enzymatic Hydrolysates Whey Protein" and find some scholarly research to educate yourself on the topic... so you don't buy into marketing hype.In a nutshell:*Whey protein is the most recommended supplement type.*'Hydrolyzed/ Hydrolysates' are the most efficient for anabolism (aka digestion), versus 'Protein Isolates' or 'Concentrates'. -research why*There are 2 ways to hydrolyze protein.*99% of products use heat (completely counterproductive), -research why...simular to cooking the CRAP out of your broccoli. Why bother?*ONLY 1% use enzymes to process proteins- more difficult and expensive but the only true beneficial method. [i.e. " di-tripeptides "]***This product is among the 1 percentile. That's why it works. Period.*** I love that they educate and disclose pertinent info on their site.I've been strength training for 10+ years. Each year I try a new protein supplement. And not only have I achieved the muscular growth I've always wanted.. (the 9 months I've been using this stuff)...But, I'm not bloated, nor do I have gas any more.(it sucks having to fart.. for the rest of my day, LoL.)I don't work for them.. nor do I push their products.. but I felt inclined to speak out on behalf of a company who DOESN'T SURVIVE ON TRENDY HYPE.I appreciate their candor.Hope this is enlightening..[...]************ Update 1/11/12 *************There's another brand, found on bodybuilders.com's site, that is as efficient (as it relates to protein type and processing) but leaner, as it pertains to:grams of protein PER CALORIEfatsugarsodium ..etc..Proto Whey's serving size is 2 scoops.Muscle FX Hydrobolic's serving size is 1 scoop.Too compare, let's examine protein and calorie contents of one scoop.Proto65 calories10 grams of proteinCALORIES PER GRAM OF PROTEIN = 6.5 Cal/gFX110 calories28 grams of proteinCALORIES PER GRAM OF PROTEIN = 3.9 Cal/gBOTTOM LINE: For each gram of protein, using FX, you're only consuming 60% of the calories as you would w/ Proto.Real world weight loss: If you lost 60lbs with Proto, you would've lost 100lbs with FX (using the exact same number of grams of protein).THAT'S A HELL OF A DIFFERENCE.[...]************* update 1/14/12 ***************After further analysis there is one VERY SIGNIFICANT difference between the 2 products."Proto Whey is a Hydrolyzed Whey Hydrolysate - averaging less than 1200 daltons in weight....enzematically reduced already for absorption - 40% di/tri peptidesHydrobolic is a Hydrolyzed Whey Isolate - averaging around 5000+ daltons in weight....requiring more digestion for absorption - 4-10% di/tri peptides"..per BioNutrional Research Group (BNRG)I was able to verify Proto Whey's stats but MuscleFx'sinfo isn't available on their site.I don't know what to do.... i'll keep you posted.Best Wishes

Absolutely WOW !!

After having tried many Protein powders, had settled for Optimum Nutrition products for a few years.I needed a change and I researched around a bit, when I hit upon this product. I was a bit skeptical initially.But the first sip just bleeeewww me away !! Amazing taste ! Just Wow !!Take it from a taste-picky person like me! Proto-Whey packs in plenty of new technology as well.. These are peptides and not isolates, hence are a bit more expensive and absorb completely !Cafe Mocha , Double Chocolate are my faves.My go-to shake :EAS Carb-control Vanilla shake ( or Fatfree Milk )3/4 cup nuked instant plain oatmeal.1/2 banana / 1/2 cup raspberries2 scoops of Proto-WheyA couple of ice cubes.UPDATE on 06/15/2011 ( for Vanilla Cream )I am not a big fan of Vanilla from other brands .. so Vanilla will never be my FIRST CHOICE when I trya brand ! But yesterday, my Vitamin Shoppe was running a promo on these powders but only had Vanilla.Going with my brand-experience-instinct I picked up a 2lb bottle of Vanilla Cream.Man these guys blew me away !! I now have Dbl-Choc / Cafe Mocha / Vanilla in the pantry .. and breakfast is a breeze !!A recipe :- Skim-Plus 8-oz- Shredded carrots ( handful )- 0.5 inch of Ginger- 0.5 Pear

Easy to digest

If you find it difficult to tolerate protein derived from milk sources, then this is the one you need to get. Even though some proteins are lactose free, there are some proteins in milk that some people cannot digest. Proto whey breaks down the large proteins into amino acids and proteins that are easily digested. Also, I find that this does not make my joints hurt like the liquid amino supplements.It costs a little more than plain whey protein, but it's worth it. It tastes great, mixes smoothly, and you won't be plagued with gastric distress. It took me a long time to find this product, and I'm so glad they make it. I used to take Amino Fuel, but they no longer make it.
