My main concern for this product was sizing.Any time you see sm/med or lg/xlg,as listed,you need to be sure about the proper fit for optimal use.I can't speak for a small waist,but for a waist size of up to 36",the sm/med will fit perfectly. Anything bigger than a 36" waist should use the lg/xlg selection of the product size,especially if there is an amount of belly overhang involved.Fit is everything! I put the belt on,over a workout shirt,just after receiving it in the mail.Read the directions and wore it for about 20 minutes.It felt great for back support and body tone.Then I took it off and could instantly feel the difference of wearing the belt,to not having it on.Seriously,if you have concerns for a lower back condition,yet feel the need for support in working,then try this and see.This is one of those times that getting what you pay for really pays off.Enjoy!

Excellent product. It is very light and definetively stabilizes your back. If you suffer from lower back pain and you do not want to stop exercising, this is a the right product.

I works better as a back support than a slimmer belt. It is great to support the lower back but not much for shaping the waist.
