Bitter Taste and Includes Soy Lecithin

I wish I could be more excited about this whey, but I find it slightly bitter and would be happier if it had no soy additives. Moreover, the package lists the the ingredients as: 100% natural ultrafiltered whey protein, and then right under this, it reads, "Contains: Milk and soy (from lecithin)." Because of this, I find Jarrow's label both misleading and confusing.I am happy that this whey is unsweetened, a concentrate, organic, and affordable. Despite the bitter taste, and added soy lecithin, it is drinkable. However, as long as I can afford it (it is more expensive than Jarrow's), I will return to the whey I prefer called "The Organic Whey." It is smoother (probably because it has no added soy lecithin), not bitter, and has the positives of Jarrow's whey.

Overall its good - but contains soy lecithin

Overall its good -I have tried the one that is vanilla flavored an I liked the taste, it dissolves in water or milk relatively well,,this product would be PERFECT for me except that it contains "soy lecithin". something that many many people are allergenic to, which is considered to be "toxic" to the body, it causes the body to produce more estrogen (which can cause your body to put on more fat among other complications), also it usually comes from soy beans that are mass produced and genetically altered and modified,,,I actually bought 6 of these at once for myself and some friends,, finding out later when I got them that they had soy lecithin in them really turned me off to this product, to me it seems obvious that any company using soy lecithin in its products is cheap, and values saving money and making profits over its consumer's health and well being.I am giving this product a 3, its still much better than most other protein powders out there,, =)that being said, you will probably be better off if you can find one that's similar to this one but without the soy lecithin!

Finally - tasty, unsweetened and organic!

After trying the popular Tera's Whey brand, which was overly sweet and artificially tasting to my palate (Bourbon Vanilla flavor), I was looking for another organic alternative. In my local grocery store I came across this unsweetened, unflavored organic whey powder from Jarrow and decided to take a chance. I was not disappointed - this is a winner! Their whey is very mild and pleasantly tasting and can be easily added to a variety of drinks/dishes without overpowering or clashing with their flavor. And yes, with a hand blender dissolving it is a breeze. The grocery store price was a bit steep, so I looked it up on Amazon for a better deal ... Highly recommended.
