I drink at least one BSN protein shake a day! Love it!

I have to admit that I cheat a little with BSN's protein shakes (either the DESSERT or Syntha6). I usually drink the vanilla flavors, but mix them in the blender with a few ice cubes, 40 calorie almond milk, and about a cup of puffed wheat cereal. Some friends from Miami introduced me to the puffed wheat shakes - they ROCK! I have one every day for lunch when I'm home. I used to take a shaker and some DESSERT on the road with me, but it's pretty grainy and not cold enough when you use a shaker to mix it. I eat very little meat, so this is my favorit way to get some extra protein. I have tried other brands, but for me, this is the best.

I have tried no less than 20 protein supplements - this one is #1

The chocolate is awesome. I have tried no less than 20 protein "drinks/powders/ready to drink" for use after bariatric surgery (a lifetime regimen of protein supplementation means great taste is essential).The only other recommendation I make is Pure Nutrition - Whey Protein Isolate (All Natural) Pure Vanilla Bean 2 lbswhich is a great alternate for when you want to add fruit to make a fruit smoothie.I did not find an aftertaste in either supplement.I could list the brands, but I think you'll get it. I've tried the 3 oz tubes of 45g concentrates which are handy for on the go, but generally too sweet. I've tried the ISO brand in various forms which are OK for pre and post surgery when it has to be clear liquid. Most of the canned and ready to drink are palateable for occasional use, but again are handy for on the go.These two are the ones for daily use at home when you have access to a drink mixer.I use Almond Milk and ice- crush to a thick consistency, then add more almond milk and the powder and mix for 1 second or so. It is a cold delicious milk shake. I avoid milk and soy products so that is why the almond milk.Best of luck to you! Enjoy life, it is too short to eat icky things.

Best Protein Powder On The Market

The chocolate fudge flavor isn't very chocolate-y, but it is definitely the best tasting protein powder on the market, and I'm pretty sure I've tried almost everything. The whipped vanilla is also very good and has a more pronounced flavor than the chocolate (and tiny vanilla bean seeds, which is awesome to see).I mix both of the flavors with water and ice, and it really does make for a filling meal, nevermind being quite a bit like a milkshake in both taste and texture. I'm down about 30lbs in a bit over 3 months (the old fashion way, diet and exercise), and a double scoop (300 calories) of BSN Lean Dessert for breakfast is not only easy to drink while driving, but keeps me full from 7am to 1pm until lunch. I used to eat oatmeal for about 30 fewer calories and a heck of a lot less protein, but it just didn't keep me full long enough.Highly recommend these to anyone looking to lose weight and anyone who HATES the chalky/powdery taste of nearly all of the protein shakes out there. The only star reduction comes from the sucralose. Not a fan of the stuff, but it's minimal all things considered and the pros of this protein powder FAR outweigh the cons.
