I think many products that use the 50g thing are just marketing gimmicks. Here they just added a scoop...only want 25g? use 1 scoop.But anyway 0 carb, perfect taste (athough if artificial sweetners scare you, stay away), every imaginable vitamin in the book. can't beat it.These are typically buy 1 get 1 half off or BOGO (buy one get one free) at GNC. 20% off with Gold member discount (both discounts stack). with these discounts, you can often get the price down somewhere to $1 per shake.

It's hard to choose.

I have been trying to find the right protein powder for me. I find the information on the product pages does not have enough information. I used up the last of my Nature's Best Isopure, Natural Vanilla, 3-Pounds Tub and before I bought more, or something else, I decided to go to GNC and read some labels. As I found on most I looked at, Isopure products had the highest amount of protein. I was now down to the Isopure Natural and this one, Isopure Zero Carb. I went ahead and purchased the Zero Carb because it was on sale and just a bit more than Amazon. I now have the labels side by side. It also says it is sweetened only with cane sugar and Luo Han Guo and has all natural vitamins and minerals with no fat, lactose, gluten, or impurities.I am not listing all of the vitamins and minerals since I also take a multivitamin as well as calcium, B12, and Vitamin C. The Zero Carb has higher percentages of almost every one - most are double that of the Natural. They are the same for iron.The zero sugar and the higher vitamins and minerals make the Zero Carb seem to be the better choice, but then there is the taste. I bought both in Vanilla because I like to make smoothies out of it and change the flavor with different fruits. Lately, I have been mixing about 4 oz skim milk, 2 scoops powder, and about 5 pieces of frozen peaches. They came out about the same, but I did notice the Zero Carb has a slight artificial flavor taste to it. I didn't notice that in the Natural. I was trying to figure out why it tasted different because I hadn't read the part of the label that said there were artificial flavors. That does complicate the decision of which one is best. I have about 21 more servings to make a decision about which one to order next.Oh yes, the two protein powders I got from Amazon had hidden scoops. I had to use almost half before it turned up. This one I found as I was scooping the first serving. Guess UPS shakes it up pretty good! Save your scoops!

Not just for Bodybuilders

Whey protein powders such as Isopure have mostly been associated with bodybuilding and it is a great product for those who do. My husband who works out swears by the Isopure Zero Carb powder. Although I don't work out, I am diabetic and need to be on a balanced diet that includes protein but without significant amounts of fat. I also have to watch my carbs (sugars). Protein foods, for the most part, have a higher fat content and this is a problem since I need to keep my weight down. I'm limited to protein sources that don't have much fat and are low in carbs. This leaves greek yogurt (which I've yet to acquire a taste for) and protein powders.The Isopure Zero Carb formula seems perfect for my needs as it balances my daily protein requirements without including a signifcant amount of fat or adding more carbs to my diet, though I wish it had a little less sodium. On days when I need to increase my total protein but my fat levels are already where they need to be, a half serving does the trick! The product mixes easily with water and tastes pretty good considering it's a protein shake. The Banana Cream has the least 'chalky' flavor of the ones I've tried. As another reviewer mentioned, don't expect a vanilla pudding taste.
