Best-tasting protein drink

My son brought this home, and now I'm hooked. I like a protein drink as a quick meal substitute, or for a protein drink before bed. Most powders taste horrible, then they sit in my fridge and I have a hard time getting them down. This Matrix Strawberry has such a strong strawberry taste, that I can mix some of my bad-tasting powders half and half with this, and get them used up! Love this stuff!

AMAZING protein powder!

Nine years ago, I had gastric bypass surgery. I started out weighing almost 400 lbs and dropped down to 140 lbs within 18 months time... Losing and maintaining a 225 lb weight loss took a lot of work (gastric bypass is not a miracle cure to lose weight), and I owe a large part of my success to using protein powders/drinks. I have tried MANY brands and flavors and by FAR, Nectar & Matrix by Syntrax are some of the best protein powders available. They mix easily and can be used with water or milk, mixed with ice, etc... For the strawberry flavor, I LOVE making strawberry smoothies... I wilI use frozen strawberries in lui of ice, 1/2 the amount of required water, a 1/4 cup powdered skim milk, 1/2 of a Yoplait light strawberry or vanilla yogurt, and a touch of honey. I mix this in a blender, and it makes for a WONDERFUL smoothie. If I have left overs, I can put it in a low-fat pie crust and freeze it to make a wonderful strawberry "ice cream" pie... Matrix is by far one of the best tasting, easiest to mix protein powders I have used. All of their flavors are great! My favorite is the cookies and cream flavor. I will do as listed above but with ice instead of frozen strawberries, and I will add a touch of vanilla extract. The past several years I have been having health issues (NOT related to my weight loss or having had gastric bypass surgery), and using protein powders have been paramount in keeping up good nutrition. I simply love Syntrax's powders!
