I ordered this product from the Vitamin Shoppe on the 25th & got it less than 2 days later which is much faster than the expected delivery date, so for shipping & handling i give it 5 Stars! Now for the product it self.. i bought 1 LB Strawberry & 1 LB Chocolate because i couldn't decide on a flavor & wanted to try them both. I use unsweetened Vanilla Almond milk.. 40 calories (since i'm both lactose intolerant & vegan). The texture is extremely Thick.. not creamy.. just Thick.. like boiled down porridge. The taste.. not very sweet (at all).. so i ordered some Splenda packets to try it with. The Chocolate is very Bitter, so i don't think ill be adding my instant coffee to it like planned. I'll prob just add a few frozen bananas & some ice (blended) instead. To me the Strawberry tastes (just a little) better (although bad as well) but i'm vegan so i'm pretty used to getting used to things i'd naturally hate. I give 2 1/2 stars for taste, 5 stars for nutrition, which of course is what's important!

Perfect gluten free, dairy free protein powder for my smoothies

I love spirutein and it's the only protein powder I use, any flavor works! I often drink my breakfast and here is my recipe:1 1/2 cup juice of choice (I prefer apple)1 to 2 cups of vanilla soy milk or milk of choice1/2 container of silken tofu2 cups fresh frozen or bagged frozen fruit1 banana1 scant scoop of Spirutein powder1 Tbsp. of honeyPut all in the blender taking special care to add the honey last and in the middle of the blender container (otherwise it sticks to the sides) start on chop and move to blend until smooth. I drink half and put the other half in the fridge for a snack later that day or in the freezer for the near future. Yummy!
