The product itself is great, but I didn't realize in advance that each envelope contains only a single serving.

With each envelope containing only one serving, buying this product in this way (rather than in a jar) is costly. However, individual envelopes are convenient for traveling. I think that ultimately I'll buy both a large container, if one is available, and keep the individual servings for travel or even to take with me for lunch. I find the taste of this product more appealing than that of any other smoothie protein drink I've used. If I'm on the run, I mix it with some simple liquid first (water, tea, etc.) until the product is thoroughly dissolved. Then I add various nectars: mango, pear, apricot, whatever. I find this mixture very satisfying. For even more satisfaction (but it takes more time), use a blender and add frozen fruit. I use mainly strawberries and peaches, but you can use anything you want. Tonight I'll cut up a cantaloupe that needs to be eaten and tomorrow's mix will include that. You can add anything you like if you use a blender and also put in more than one "dose" of the product to make more than multiple days' smoothies.
