Use a good coconut milk (dilute it, for fewer calories) and, bam, protein virgin Pina Colada!

I've lost a bunch of weight and am now in a metabolism healing phase that requires a lot of protein intake. I take whey protein 2 to 3 x a day between meals (or in place of one AND in between) to get protein high. I had wanted to stick to concentrate, rather than isolate, but I found that, while the quality is great in PaleoMeal and Swanson's whey concentrates, the carbs can rack up.So, I tried THIS today. Since I already had a bunch of vanilla/choco/strawb proteins in the house, I went for this flavor. (Bought locally, not online, so can't vouch for this merchant here.)I used part coconut milk (Aroy-D in the carton) and part water with one scoop in a shaker cup. HOLY COW!!! Unbelievably nummy. I used to have my pina coladas virgin (not big on alcohol), and this is like reverting to those old, creamy, indulgent "out on the town" drinks I used to have.I need to try with ice in a blender to froth it up and chill it to see just how great it can get. For now, my current fave low carb, high protein (24 g per scoop), no freaky sweeteners whey shake supplement.I'm gonna try the chocolate next to use with my flax meal--as I notice that flax meal adds a "malted" vibe to my choco whey shakes, as well as Omega-3.Enjoy and be well...

Great tasting and contains good nutrition.

This protein is great tasting and contains good nutrition. It is probably one of the cleanest whey powders out there. I like that it is sweetened with stevia, which is a lot better for your body than other sugar-free sweeteners. The powder mixes well in a shaker. I don't really like put it in a blender, because it becomes very fluffy. Some people like it that way, but I do not prefer it. The powder tastes good with non-fat dairy milk or almond milk. You can mix it with water, but I feel it tastes watered down.The price is steep on this powder, but you get what you pay for. I also use Optimum Nutrition protein powder, since I generally drink two protein drinks per day as part of a 4-5 small meals per day regimen. This generally saves money, although ON protein is not quite as clean. I prefer ON's chocolate protein compared to Jay Robb, when it comes to taste. Jay Robb's Tropical Dreamsicle and Pina Colada are my favorite protein flavors not only for the brand, but also for protein powders in general. They taste great mixed together too.

Let me start by just stating that you can not go wrong with any of the Jay Robb whey protein flavors. They are all delicious. I actually do use a scoop of JR protein in my green smoothie every single morning. If I don't, I feel incomplete. It is also very drinkable in milk or water alone. It mixes in so smoothly and has no overpowering "protein shake" taste. I don't taste the stevia either as some other reviewers have mentioned. I do want to mention that it does make your drinks a bit "fluffy". I love this creaminess, but others may not.The pina colada is in a tie with tropical dreamsicle as my favorite flavor. I always have some vanilla flavor on hand, however, because it's just a classic flavor that I know will mix well with anything I put in my smoothies. I really like that this powder has 1 carb (vanilla has 0 carbs), 0 sugar, and 0 fat but packs a whopping 25g of protein, how can you go wrong? Yes, yes, yes, it is expensive. I will admit it. But it is so worth it.
