MAP is a dietary protein substitute that contains the MAP Master Amino Acid Pattern® (U.S. Patent No. 5,132,113) a unique pattern of essential amino acids in a highly purified, free, crystalline form. Even though individual dosage may vary according to nutritional status, age, gender, and the intensity and frequency of physical activity, the average suggested daily dosage should be: ? For the amateur athlete: 5 to 10 tablets of MAP 30 minutes before training, in conjunction with the daily requirement of vitamins, minerals and trace elements. ? For the professional athlete: 10 tablets of MAP 30 minutes before training, in conjunction with the daily requirement of vitamins, minerals and trace elements. And an additional 10 tablets of MAP to be taken during the next meal (lunch or dinner).

On my 3rd bottle now (almost to the end), taking 3-5 tablets first thing in the morning with lots of water. All I can say is 2 anecdotal observations. 1) I've noticed far less muscle loss when I neglect lifting/exercising for a week or so. (That's a biggie!) Prior to taking MAP, I always had a large protein meal replacement shake in the am. MAP seems to provide far more protein. 2) The past 3 nights I took 1 tablet before bed and have awoken up with far fewer aches and pains and much less stiffness in the morning! Wow, that makes for a greatly improved quality of life. I imagine that the aminos provide ample nutrients for my body to repair and heal during the night. I'm happy with this stuff.
