By Roger Voelker
I wanted a source of protein that would be easy to cook and with the essential amino acids. Egg White Powder fits the requirement. I also usepowdered milk to make milk for coffee and use at home. I read about someproducts of egg white powder that did not have a good taste. I tried a fewof them and this is the best. Trick is to take the amount of powder, I use1/4 of a cup and put it through a sieve into some bottled water into whichI added some salt or salt substitute, some pepper, and soy sauce. Use a beater to dissolve it into the liquid, let it sit about 2 minutes, and fry it in some safflower oil. A 1/4 of a cup of this powder is equivalent to6 eggs. There is no mess, clean up is quick. The company suggests adding 1/4 cup of the powder to 12 oz. of milk and drinking it. Cooking it is noproblem for me. I figured one pound of this Egg White is the same as144 eggs, so the price is very good for that protein.

By kmarasco
I just got this and just made my first smoothie this morning so I can't provide a lot of feedback but I will tell you my initial impression. I'm trying to stay away from dairy and that includes the whey protein I normally use in my smoothie so I'm trying this as a replacement for that. I was a little concerned about the eggwhite protein powder due to the mentions of a bad taste. I just made a smoothie with mixed fruit (peaches, strawberries, grapes, mango, pineapple), spinach, water, and the eggwhite protein. The smoothie tastes good and I don't detect any bad aftertaste and the taste itself tastes just like I would expect a smoothie like that to taste like. I guess that means that the powder doesn't add to the taste and doesn't take away from the taste. That's exactly what I wanted. I can't speak for how this protein powder tastes when mixed with just water but I'll probably never do that. I usually make a smoothie after a workout or a couple hours before I play soccer so I'll be interested to see how this makes me feel for soccer but as far as taste goes I give this product a thumbs up.Hope this helps,Kevin
