Trainer Knew What He was Talking About!!

I don't know what possessed my trainer to recommend this to me, but I am glad he did!This protein is probably the 50 millionth I have tried. I usually cycle through proteins once every three months, or else when they jack up their prices and get too expensive. I tried this stuff on a total whim, but when I got it I was extremely impressed.Let's break it down:Consistency/Mix-ability-Now I remember the days of clumpy, chunky hard to mix protein, and I know we have come a long way, but there is always room for improvement. This stuff is FINE and extremely EASY TO MIX. It's a bit heavier than powdered sugar, but not by much. You really don't even need a shaker for this stuff because of how easily it mixes.Taste-This is hands down the best tasting protein I have had. I have no clue how they kept carbs practically nonexistent and still made it taste like a candy bar. No heavy sucralose taste or anything nasty like that. I also don't feel like I will get sick of it any time soon.Digestibility-It probably has something to do with the lack of gluten (I have a gluten sensitivity) but this stuff doesn't upset my stomach like most other proteins. I usually just have to deal with it, but with this stuff, NADA.Value-The value you get here is good. I mean it's not some cheapo barrel of protein, this is a premium product so it does cost a little more. I think it is more than made up for in the amount per scoop and high quality everywhere else.Overall, this stuff is amazing. I think I am going to have a hard time doing my usual switch after three months. I would definitely say it tops my former favorite protein (Optimum Nutrition)

Cellucor® COR-Performance(tm) Series WHEY - Peanut Butter Marshmallow

Mixibility: 9/10Mix fine a little thicker then my normal whey protein with 4oz of water added 2oz more of water and it is perfect.Taste: 9/10I don't really like to vary in flavors from my normal chocolate or strawberry so this PB Marshmallow was a first. To be honest the taste was right on like a peanut butter cookie, it wasn't too sweet either. This protein should be really good for cooking stuff like pan cakes.Overall comments: 9/10I think if you like PB and don't mind chugging it then this protein is for you, I personally didn't like the idea of chugging PB but that has nothing to do with the taste or profile rating. The profile is good being a blend of Whey Protein Isolate and Whey Protein Concentrate with low carbs and calories with 25g of protein per serving.

It's alright, but I don't prefer it to its competition

I normally order ON gold standard or Syntha-6, but ordered three of these on a deal else where. I'll be switching back to my normal.Taste is OK, but definitely not as good as ON's or BSN's products. I tried molten chocolate, peanut butter marshmallow, and cinnamon swirl. Molten chocolate was about a 4/5 on taste, but it wasn't as good as it could be (chocolate proteins are the easiest to flavor and usually taste the best of any brand's choices). I ended up using it for chocolate/peanut butter/banana smoothies. Peanut butter marshmallow was pretty good, I almost wanna say 5/5 on that one. It somehow actually tastes like marshmallows. Cinnamon swirl definitely is not the one to get if you're looking for good taste. It's more chalk than cinnamon, and is just an unpleasant experience.Mixing is sort of OK. If you add it to a shaker before the liquid, it will stick to all the corners at the bottom of the shaker. Very annoying and hard to clean. The cinnamon swirl mixes very thick, and combined with its not-so-cinnamon taste makes it hard to take down. It is generally a clumpy and sticky protein compared to the rest of them.Price: they like to say "More protein in every scoop!". OK. There's 25 grams in every scoop. There's typically 22-24 in competitors scoops. So what exactly is a "scoop"? It's a 35-gram serving according to cellucor. It's a 31-gram serving according to ON gold standard. There's 25 grams of protein per 35-gram scoop of cellucor, vs 24 grams of protein per 31-gram scoop of ON gold standard (this may vary slightly by flavor, I didn't check all).But who cares how many grams are in a scoop? Take a small scoop if you want, take a big scoop if you want, take a level scoop if you want. What matters is how much it costs per gram of protein, not how much an arbitrarily sized scoop costs. So, at the current prices of $50 for 4 pounds of cellucor (52 servings, 25 grams of protein per scoop), and $54 per 5 pounds on gold standard (74 servings at 24 grams of protein per scoop),Cellucor cost per gram of protein: 3.85 centsON gold stand cost per gram of protein: 3.05So at this point, we should consider the quality of the proteins since we are comparing the price. So lets look at the ingredients of the protein matrix in the order they're listed on each:Cellucor: Whey Protein Isolate, Whey Protein ConcentrateON gold standard: Whey Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey PeptidesSo what really sets them apart? Taste and price.Prices change all the time, especially in they whey market, so just take a look at the current prices and decide for yourself what the better deal is. I hate it when people talk about whey sellers "jacking up their prices". This is a very high demand market (whey is used in the increasingly more popular Greek yogurts as well). Prices of whey will fluctuate, and unfortunately go up more than come down.Anyway, it was a decent protein, but I'm going back to ON's for now.
