Trained and raced using Carbo-pro for my first full distance triathlon last year. I mixed it with either standard Gatorade or even just a water + NUUN bottle. I found it just slightly increased the sweetness of anything I mixed it with.Personally I didn't have any issues with digestion and felt like it helped keep me strong during events. I now also use it (in lesser amounts) for shorter races such as half-iron distances. I especially like that I don't feel the need to put down gels or solids to get in some calories.
