Awesome protein powder for vegans and nonvegans, alike! Lower carbs, higher protein and no sugar!

This is by far my favorite protein powder I have had and won't use another after this! I used to use Spirulina Chocolate protein powder and after using this one I prefer the taste far more. This would be good for anyone that wants to use it as a part of a healthy diet, for training for an athlethic event or just the average person, like me that is active and wants to maintain energy level and maintain weight. This powder has 25g. of protein which is about 10grams more than most and only 3grams of carbs and no sugar. I prefer to make it with 8oz. unsweetened Vanilla almond milk, a half a frozen banana (or 1/4cup of frozen strawberries, blueberries etc), and 1/4 cup of spinach leaves. It is delicious (like a treat, really) and you feel great after drinking this- more energy and a great pick-me-up in afternoon or to get going in the a.m. without feeling weighed down. And with the extra grams of protein I stay full longer than other drinks! I think the key is to have it very cold, which is why I use frozen fruit. Also, make sure to mix very well, I use my single serve cup with my Ninja mixer but I am sure anything similar will be fine. I have found the best price at Vitacost- it is the same as on Amazon but when I place my 49$ order along with my other vitamins/skincare products I get free shipping. Enjoy!

Good Vegan Option

There aren't that many protein powder options for vegans except for pea and soy. After using soy for awhile, I decided to try this out on a recommendation, and found that I prefer the taste and consistency of pea protein over soy. It mixes better in my smoothies, and makes me feel better.

Good product, but know how to use it

I think this product is good. Not as sweet as I like, so I blend with fruit. After taste is chalky, which is true for all protein powders I've tried, so I still give five stars. My only gripe is I would like to see an organic product.The key to success is making sure you get all the powder dissolved, and having a no hassle setup for blending. Do not try to mix in with a spoon! A full size blender is too much bother for a single shake. An immersion blended with a straight-sided cup is perfect - but make sure the cup is at least three cups for a 12 ounce shake (the Cuisinart CSB-76BC SmartStick 200-Watt Immersion Hand Blender has a cup that is probably too small, but something like the 30 oz. (Ounce) Malt Cup would work well). I put about 12 oz of low fat vanilla soy milk in the measuring cup (instead of eight ounces called for by the package), one flat scoop of powder, and 2/3 of a medium banana in the cup. Then blend until completely smooth - about 20 seconds. BTW, using soy milk adds 9 grams of protein to the shake for a total of 34 grams. The adult daily recommended allowance of protein is 50 g for women, and 63 g for men.An easy way to deal with the bananas is to peel and freeze once they are ripe. This also makes the shake colder, which tastes better.Another use for the powder is to add some chocolate flavor to coffee. I'll spoon in a teaspoon to a cup of hot coffee.
