Excellent product!

Prior to this product, I used soy and whey protein powder products. However, since I now try to restrict my soy intake & avoid dairy totally due to difficulty digesting both, I switched to rice protein powder. I guess it is a little chalky compared to the others. However, that does not bother me. Since I always make a smoothie w/ frozen berries + 1/2 frozen banana with the powder, I like that it is low carb. The vanilla was my favorite until I tried the mixed berry recently. Now all I want is the mixed berry. Great product and easy to digest.

Best Protein Supplement I Have Found

I was looking for a protein supplement, not like the many protein powders out there that have a multivitamin built in, or added sweeteners. A lot of people think, more nutrients Yay! but in reality many of us are getting way to much vitamin A which long term can lead to a variety of health problems. You can do your own research on this at the National Library of Medicine [...].-I wanted something that tasted good enough that I could mix it in water (soy, almond, and rice milks all add carbohydrates defeating the added protein)-I wanted something inexpensive since I use it twice per day-Doesn't bloat my stomach, I am in good shape but I hate having a food belly after meals-This drink has 2 carbohydrates, 12 protein so it really balances out a meal without having to add the fat and cholesterol of meatI can have lentil soup for lunch put 1 heaping tablespoon of this Mixed Berry Rice Protein in a shaker with 8oz water and a dash of diluted stevia (undiluted stevia tastes funny) and drink it down while I'm eating my soup. Perfect meal with protein, carbs, fiber.Added bonus: 1 serving gives you a great variety of amino acids. Why is this so great? 1) multivitamins tend to lack in amino acids, 2) amino acids help with digestion so if you drink this with your meal that is a good thing 3)This review would be to long to cover every amino acid but for example Lysine is a natural way to keep cold sores away. I personally don't have cold sore but I dated a guy for 1year that did and I took my chances because 70% of the population has Herp 1 or 2 so that only leaves a 30% chance of loving a man without herpes. I took Lysine the whole time and never caught his virus even when he had an outbreak and I kissed him the night before. Having a broad range of amino acids is a good thing to have in your diet for many reasons that we haven't even began to prove yet. 4)You can't overdose on aminos so having them in a protein supplement is only a bonus

I Add it to Cereal

I use this product because I am mostly vegan and avoid soy and dairy. I don't even think about comparing it to the soy or whey protein powders. I do use it in smoothies, as several reviewers have mentioned.I don't think anyone has mentioned using it in cereal. Warning: I have been doing this for a long time and am used to it. I suppose it is possible that you won't like it at first!I keep a small water-tight empty container available. I put in a heaping tablespoon of the powder and some nondairy milk into the container, close it, and shake it. The powder dissolves, leaving a small amount of concentrated chalky liquid. I put this liquid into my cereal (hot or cold cereal), usually along with lots of fruit and nuts and berries. Then I add more milk. In moments of weakness, I sometimes add stevia (I like Truvia) or a small amount of agave syrup or honey.IMHO, this is a good way to add 12+ grams of protein to a vegan diet.
