E-Lyte is great!

I love E-Lyte. Drank it for years, then stopped and wish I didn't. Now I'm back and love drinking it everyday. Here is what I have heard from a few nutritionists: if you can't stand the taste it means you REALLY need the electrolytes in your body. One trick that helped me was to add the juice of one lemon in a glass of water with one cap of the electrolytes. The more I drink it the more I love it. Now I can drink it even without the lemon juice. It tastes great. I normally don't write reviews (as you will see) but for the cyclist who suffers from cramps, and hopefully everyone else too, I thought this information would be helpful.

E-Lyte works. Simply put.

I have been using E-Lyte for the past 4 years, and it works. There is no gimmick to it - it's simply a bottle of concentrated electrolyte. An electolyte is a substance that carries an electric charge through it. Your body, like your DVD player or cell phone, works with electrical charges. Electric signals travel all throughout your body (nerve cells, spinal cord, brain, etc..) when you sweat too much and lose too many electrolytes through the fluids, you interrupt these electrical flows and your body malfunctions - headaches, fatigue, nausea, dizziness, etc. You can restore these electrolytes and your body goes back to working. This is not my opinion, this is medical fact. Ask your doctor, science teacher or simply pick up a book on biology and read it yourself. So you mix the e-lyte per the instructions in the bottle and you drink it - it does taste like you're drinking sweat - but it works.I live in Florida and am constantly sweating. I couldn't live here without taking electrolytes on a regular basis.

I'm not a hardcore athlete but I do use this on a regular basis just for hydration. Most Americans are severely dehydrated and do not drink enough water. This provides me with relief from headaches and also basic fatigue. The bicyclist who said it is undrinkable and weird in consistency didn't mix it right. It's one capful for a full glass of water. It will give it a different taste slightly but I have never seen a difference in the consistency. On those hot summer days it works great if you have major yard work to tackle, gives you the go you need all day.
