Life savers!

I cannot overstate the value of these pills for long distance training/racing in hot weather, particularly if you sweat a lot. There are other anti-cramp/bonk pills on the market (many of them quite good), but these are simply the best if you lose a lot of water and salt through sweat.When you start getting into this area (ie - taking pills for electrolyte and sodium stabilization for serious and prolonged training/racing), your own body is a huge factor in what is going to work the best. Many other brands use much less sodium, which is great if you don't sweat very much. Other salt-stick types have the high sodium, but not much else (potassium, etc). I find these S-Caps to be the best of both worlds for MY body type. (heavy sweater - i lose a TON of water each hour on my bike)I also prefer these to Hammer Endurolytes for the additional convenience of having to take fewer capsules per hour. During my races, I can take 1 of these every 30 minutes, but 1 every hour if I'm not working as hard during certain portions of the race. compare that with Endurolytes, which I have to take 6 of to ATTEMPT to keep my sodium in check, and they still fail my by hour 3)TL;DR: Sweat a lot? These are perfect.

To century and beyond!

I ran cross country in high school and college, but my legs took too much abuse. I used to figure "oh I'll just hop on the bike and do 50 miles with the old man". Bonked every time like clockwork right around 25-30 miles.Fast forward. My dad (a huge sweater as well) shows up to the century ride last weekend with S-Caps. I took 1-2 every hour, and I'm pretty sure I felt better as the ride went on! :) I'm 6'0 150lbs, so I burn through fuel and fluid fast. But S-caps and plenty of water keep me cramp free for my first 100 mile ride.S-Caps - don't leave home without them.

This is what you need when you don't know what you need

If you're into healthy living, you exercise and take vitamins but still in the afternoon you feel out of energy or just worn out then consider electrolyte supplements. I can't quite describe what these do for me but taking them either before or after a workout or outing or even after a night out on the town, I feel more alert and more comfortable. And I like the S!Caps because they're not loaded down with other chemicals or sugars.
