I'm very picky about protein powders

One of the reviewers here is correct about large producers packaging their whey isolates under a variety of different brand names, but I was only able to find a few hydrolyzed whey proteins offered from all the products currently available online (there are many). I only found a few similar to this one with the distinction of being hydrolyzed which is presumably easier to digest and contains the highest available percentage of protein. A 28 gram serving of this product contains 25 grams of protein or 90% protein by weight. I have been buying whey protein powder for more than 15 years and used all the popular brands. This is simply the best whey I have ever used and tastes different than any others I've known up till now. Zero fat and zero carbs per serving. I no longer use or recommend soy isolates and while I have found some good quality brown rice protein powders the taste is so unpleasant I would stick to whey.Since I was recently new to this whey product, I always start by purchasing vanilla since that's usually the most difficult flavor to do well (in my experience). If I don't like the taste, vanilla is always good to have around for adding to fruit smoothies (a smoothie easily overwhelms any subtleties of an objectionable vanilla whey flavor). If I like the taste of their vanilla I'll serve it solo as well as in smoothies. Once I know I like the vanilla, chocolate is usually next. This vanilla is excellent as far as vanilla goes and I'll be ordering more flavors soon. I use a VitaMix to quickly and easily mix a tasty 12 ounce serving.One trick I can pass along for making a delicious glass is to start with a 16 oz measuring cup. If you have a crushed ice dispenser in your frig door put a few ounces of ice into your measuring cup and fill with water up to the 12 oz mark. Dump the ice and water into your VitaMix and blend at high speed (the idea being to make the water very cold while making any evidence of the ice disappear). With the VitaMix still running at the slowest rpm (stir speed) quickly add one scoop of this protein powder into the freezing cold water and run another 10 to 15 seconds. Pour into a glass and serve while cold. WOW! Is that Good! I don't like running the blender fast with the protein powder already in the water because it makes a foamy drink I don't find enjoyable.Great for diets, snacks throughout the day, for feeding your muscles after weight training. This is a great product. If you are looking for the highest quality whey isolate at the best possible price, this 5lb size is your lowest price best value deal from all comparable labels (at least at the time I'm writing this review). Be sure and shop price because I you can easily pay more than twice the lowest available prices.

I like this product as it doesn't give me gas like the regular GNC stuff I used before. The only thing that prevents me from giving it a five is that fact that it does not mix well with a spoon. If you have a water bottle or shaker, no problem. But the stuff is so light and airy that putting it in a cup and adding water simply sends the stuff flying. In general, I don't think it mixes as well as the GNC, despite what it claims on the plastic bottle.I was also surprised that the label did not give directions for storage.BTW, if you have never bought whey isolate before you can simply shop on price. The brand names mean nothing as the stuff is made in bulk by only a very few producers who then repackage it under different brands, which then market it to you.

Good protein

It's official, I no longer have a "booty do"....that's when your stomach sticks out further than your..."booty do".Gotta love weight training.Gotta love fat loss.Gotta have lots of love for a decent protein.Enter ISO-100.The good?It mixes well, no clumps.Lot's of yummy protein per scoop (24 grams).No fat, no carbs.The bad?WAY too sweet for my tastes but not enought to deduct any stars.Highly recommended.

It works. Love it!

I can definetly see and feel the results from taking this product vs not taking it. I am an amature body Builder and i definetly recommend this product to any other builders out there. I feel more relaxed when lifting, and find myself adding a few more pounds (or reps) per exercise while using this product. Nice pump for a low price....

This product works if you drink enough water with it. Thats most people problem not drinking enough water. Drink lots of water and use as directed and this product works fine! Hope this helps.

Best overall organic bar

I've tried most of the organic bars on the market to date. I consider the "Organic Food Bar" brand to be the gold standard, and I've enjoyed them for years. The Raw Revolution bars are proving to be just as good, and they are considerably cheaper. At the moment, Amazon is tied for the cheapest price I've seen for Organic Food Bars: 0.97 cents/ounce.Amazon has the cheapest price I've seen for Raw Revolution bars: 0.60 cents/ounce! That is over a 30% difference. Its 1.31 for a 2.2 oz bar. Retail is 1.99/bar; and that is what they are on the Raw Revolution website, too.I love the taste; it had not occurred to me that some folks wouldn't like them until I read some of the reviews here. Then again, it is easy for me to learn to like foods that are healthy. Both of these bar lines seem high in fat to me (my dieting Mom won't eat them), but it is all healthy fat. I would like to see more of a Zone diet ratio (more protein). They could have a bit less sweet for my taste, but that goes for every bar I've ever tried.Its funny (and makes so much sense) that Raw Revolution has so many chocolate flavors. Also, the Raw Revolution folks I met at the Outdoor Retailer show were some of the nicest folks; very liberal with their samples, too ;-).I wish that health food stores (and online merchants) would post the price per ounce for the plethora of bars that are out there. Maybe they don't want to draw attention to how expensive many of these products are! I am very resistant to paying over a dollar an ounce for bars, especially when these all organic, high quality bars are less than that.So the dollar an ounce limit for a 2.4 ounce bar is $2.40; for a 2.2 ounce bar it is $2.20, and so forth.For good bars that are only .41/ounce on Amazon, you can't beat Clif bars, 70% organic; a good staple. Probably the healthiest food at 7-11, if you're hungry and stuck. Clif Builder bars (chocolate) are good too; more of a "normal" chocolate crunchy bar.Cheers!Wasatch Bill

NOT a granola bar!

I bought one box each of the raspberry/chocolate and hazelnut/chocolate bars looking for a healthy aternative to the grocery store granola bars that contain high fructose corn syrup. Somehow, I thought they would have a granola bar type of texture, but they aren't even close. My first reaction was that they had an unpleasant smell and funny aftertaste - but that was my first reaction to beer, too, and I managed to get over that. They are definitely an adult, acquired-taste kind of snack. Now I look forward to having one as a mid-afternoon snack, depending on what I've already eaten or plan to eat that day, because they are a fairly high calorie (276), high fat (15g) little treat. Probably their best contribution to one's overall diet is the protein (7 grams or 13% DV).

Better than I expected!

These bars are quite good actually. They are chocolatey and you can taste the coconut and nuts, but they are not sickeningly sweet like most coconut & chocolate bars. Plus they are moist and the size of the bar is just right. If you are expecting a candy bar type item you will be disappointed - this is not dipped in chocolate, rather the chocolate is mixed right in. But if you're looking for a healthy snack that energizes you without the sugar burnout you get from other 'energy' bars then these are worth a try. I am quite pleased with them and am going to order some more.

Shock Therapy

I'm on my second container of this product. The citrus blast flavor tastes pretty good. Although I typically use a Magic Bullet for mixing, I have found the powder does mix adequately with just a spoon in a liquid filled cup. As with most caffeinated pre-workout drinks, it does up urination frequency, but hydration is easily rebalanced with a modest corresponding increase of water intake during use. Thankfully, there is no "xplode" factor w/this product. I get great pumps just by lifting, even w/o pre-workout drinks, so it's hard for me to gauge if this product really helps in the pump category. I use it primarily to encourage a lifting mood, enhance mental focus, and reinforce drive. Considering the amount of servings to price ratio, when compared to other similar ingredient "top sellers", Shock Therapy appears to be a true value. It works for me.

Best Results I've had with Creatine

I've supplemented whey protein for the last 12 years of my life. I started taking creatine when cell-tech first hit the market, I was the first one in my gym to take. Gained 12 pounds in 7 days. Yeah it was a loading phase but I kept half of the weight afterwards which if you take creatine, you realize the significance.This is the first time I have taken Citruline Malate. I have read good things about beta alanine too and decided to stack them during my next creatine cycle -Primaforce Citrulline Malate 200 Grams + FREE Beta Alanine 250 Grams Powder. Never even heard of Citruline Malate until reading about it on bodybuilding dot com.I am about a month in I figured enough time passed to accurately review this stuff. Bottom-line, i am now a believer. My gains can be compared to the first time I tried creatine, solid. But to further that my recovery rate has literally been cut in half. My leg day is brutal and will take 4 days minimum before I can walk down a flight of stairs without wincing. Two days after my leg day I feel like I could do them again and trust me I tested this out to make sure I didn't take it easy on my last workout. Next time you do legs try the 20/20 leg workout. That's doing 20 sets of squats BUT taking the weight you do with ten reps and somehow finding a way to do 20 reps with for 20 sets. I did this and still legs are nothing but a little bit tight in the evening of the second day after.The only variable that changed is the addition of these supplements (and the creatine which I cycle pretty routinely). I cannot vouch for these products without the addition of creatine but there is something going on here and they are worth a serious look.

Great stuff!

I picked up PRIMAFORCE Citrulline Malate to use as a caffeine free pre-workout supplement along with Beta Alanine. My intention was to use it for a month while I cycle off of a pre-workout supplement that I used for 3 months that contained caffeine... This combination is amazing! Not only was my energy level very high approximately 20-30 minutes after taking it, (as well as the tingles from the Beta Alanine), but my endurance was increasing by the day!!. After 2 weeks I was pushing through my workouts with the same energy I started with!! I'm 45, so for me this was huge!! I like this combination so much that I now add it to the original pre-workout supplement I was taking prior to trying this. I take 2 level scoops of Citrulline Malate (4000 mgs total) along with 2 scoops of Beta Alanine (1000 mgs total) 30 - 45 minutes prior to working out. I also take 1 scoop of each and add it to a bottle of water to take "during" my workouts... Some may comment about the bitterness, but it's not that bad if you down it quickly. And once I started adding it to my pre-workout supplement (DS Craze - Candy Grape), it actually tasted great!! The flavors compliment each other very well... I highly recommend!!

Great Product

I take this along with Beta-Alanine pre workout on both my weight training days and my road training (cycling). As for value if taking their recommended dose 2 grams (2 scoops) this will last 100 days. I would consider this pretty good when compared to other sports nutrition products, which more often than not requires you to repurchase every couple months. As for taste, if mixed with just water, a very tart lemonade comes to mind, i personally like it. I have also mixed it with orange juice with similar results. As for its effectiveness, to put it very simply, workout "burn" is significantly mitigated when taking this product. There are plenty of sources online that can elaborate on this biological action. I wont go on a long training ride without first taking this as its ability to buffer lactic acid greatly increases my hill climbing stamina. Note this is not going to make you superman but along with a solid training program and sound nutrition this will be a nice compliment to your regime. Finally i would like to add that there is no noticeable immediate side effects when taking this product. I cant comment on long term effects but you will not feel as if you "took something", when dosing this. Great product i will be purchasing this again. Thanks

Best fiber I've ever used!

Quite simply, this is the most complete fiber product I've ever found. Surprisingly, I didn't find it at the health food store -- but rather a body building supply shop! The product description pretty much tells it all. Probiotics, Soluble and Insoluble fiber (Fibersol 2, oat, pea, & bamboo), and digestive enzymes to help you get more out of your meal. You get about 50 scoops out of each container, so the cost is reasonable compared to buying all those components by themselves.

Great fiber supplement!

Have been using this product for a few months now and it keeps me regular. I mainly eat a high protein diet with only a few servings of fruits/vegetables per day, so this supplement helps me get my daily requirements of fiber. I recommend this product if you struggle to meet your daily fiber needs, especially to athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and body builders who consume a high protein diet.BTW because my diet is lacking in fruits/vegetables, I also take Opti-men multi-vitamin to meet all of my nutritional requirements. It also provides extra extracted nutrients that you don't find in a standard multi.

Mix it with your protein, and digest it like a breeze (without the gas...)

I've found my general digestive health to be much improved after adding this, and the occasional dose of flax seeds to my protein shakes.Pretty much prevents the common side effect of excess gas when consuming protein powders (tried with whey, whey hydrolysate and casein and works a charm).
