Fantastic Taste

I've been a big user of Whey protein shakes, mainly Nature's Best Isopure brand (because it's lactose-free). Unfortunately, it got to the point that I just couldn't take the horrible taste anymore. I decided to try Optimum Nutrition's egg white protein because I had read great reviews for Optimum Nutrition's protein shakes online. I've got to say that they are correct--this shake tastes just like chocolate milk!PROS-The shake really does taste great. I used to choke down protein shakes--no more :)-Excellent price. You get a good serving of protein (23 or 27 g per scoop) and there's something like 40 scoops in the container.-Again the taste--just great.CONS-The ad claims that it is instantized (you can mix it with a spoon). Unfortunately, it takes a good minute or two of heavy duty mixing to get that effect. At first it clumps up, and you have to go at it to unclump it. Even then, there are often little pieces left. The good thing is the taste makes up for it so I've never minded that.One last observation: whey protein seems to be "lighter" than this. I'm not sure if it's this particular brand or all egg protein shakes in general, but drinking my standard 1.5 scoops in the morning really fills me up! I feel a little heavy or full, almost like I've eaten a really big meal as I'm heading out the door. Just something to be prepared for!

A trick for mixing powders with liquids

Here's a trick I learned many years ago about mixing powders, flours, etc. with a liquid to avoid clumping. Put your powder in the bowl, glass, etc. Pour just enough liquid to mix with a spoon. You should really have to work that spoon to get a very thick paste. Any lumps will disappear (from aeration, I would imagine). After that, you can pour in as much liquid as you need and it will be very smooth. It literally takes seconds to do. Hope it helps.

Great taste!!

I bought this because I wanted to increase my protein intake and I can't stomach whey protein. No matter what I added that God awful taste was still there. This one however taste great! I use milk and a drop of Vanilla Butternut Extract... I Love it!!! I am only giving it four stars because the price is high..no higher than other protein drinks, but I think they are all too high. Other than the price you can't go wrong.

Original Super charge

This item was the original SuperCharge. This version has less caffeine, More Arginine and the Humonfort. The original is considered the better (more effective) formula. The price was only $28.49 with shipping, but I think it has gone up...

Wrong number of capsules on Amazon

The actual count was 60 capsules per bottle but Amazon showed 120. When I received my order and there were only 60 per bottle I contacted the seller and they sent me additional product to make up for the difference at no additional charge.No argument at all. Great customer service.

Great Taste and Great for Muscle Recovery!

As the title says, this stuff was actually great tasting unlike some other protein supplement shakes I had had. Tastes just like an Oreo cookies and cream shake. I always use milk to mix it with (as you should) and it never clumps and goes down smooth. Suggest a good shaker bottle with strainer to help stir/shake it up. Add milk first to avoid clumping on the bottom. Bought the 2 lbs as I wanted to try it first and I will definitely buy the larger one soon. A++

Very good for weight lifting and even better for stomach health

I've been using this for quite some time for weight lifting; it seems to help with recovery. There is a lot a people that swear by l-glutamine and some that do not. It's a tool to aid in muscle gain, but you can lift without it and make gains just fine. It is supposed to boost hgh a little. I seem to lift better with it, but not like superman. It has just a small effect on me, but in weight lifting small effects are good. Don't buy this and expect to jump up in weight lifting; there is no magic supplement. Next and more important is the stomach. I do swear by this stuff for stomach issues. I gave this to my brother for ulcerative colitis and it seemed to clear it up for him. I also take this mainly now because of burning issues in my own stomach and it seems to help me when I take one or two capsules on an empty stomach in the mornings. In conclusion this stuff does more for the digestive system than for muscle, but since it helps both, it's a decent supplement. I want to say that l-glutmamine helps with muscle repair and is good for the stomach; but PLEASE consult your doctor if you are having any type of stomach issues because you many have a serious problem. If after you see a doctor and they cannot fix your stomach issues, then by all means try this stuff. Remember this is just a supplement for weight lifting, not a magic pill and for stomach issues it's more like a food. Cabbage has a lot of l-glutamine in it, but taking this is easier than eating cabbage or drinking cabbage juice. Also remember there is no substitute for healthy living and eating.

I take this daily and prefer this brand easy to swollow compared to tablet form the capsules are easy to take apart and add to my coffee or protien drink. I take it for sugar cravings, it works.

FAR FROM ELITE!

Gaspari should have stuck with the original formula and maybe just changed what protein types were in it, if he felt the need to do so. And not added a big no no to this. The Probiotic series is nasty garbarge. This Elite series is complete garbage(there's something in it that makes it complete garbage... yep, this is the big no no I referred to) as you find out later in the review as to why I think so or you can skip to the last paragraph now and find out. I bought a 2 lb. container of the Strawberries and Cream flavor and did so because I loved the original Myofusion Strawberries and Cream so much. Big mistake!VALUE: First off, I paid $35 for a 2 lb. container with 26 scoops at 25g of protein per scoop and that's the cheapest price I could find anywhere and this was about 5 or 6 days ago. Normally, I wouldn't pay that much for a 2 pound container of protein, but I just had to try this stuff. I kind of wish I hadn't. If you take two scoops a day this will last you less than 2 weeks. That's some pricey protein! Value gets a 2 out of 10.TASTE: I can't comment on the other flavors, but the Strawberries and Cream flavor is not very good. I'd give the flavor a 6 out of 10. It's doable, but that's about it. A lot of people say tastes doesn't matter.... to that I say bull crap. Tastes does matter! If doesn't, then I've some nice piles of dog doo in back yard I'll let you snack on and I'm guessing it wouldn't be very tasty. Joking aside, when I drink a protein shake I actually like to enjoy it. I look at it this way: If you have the option to buy a protein that tastes great and is of high quality, then why buy a bad tasting one. There are plenty of high quality tasty protein powders out there. This Strawberry flavor is not even close to the original Myofusion Strawberry flavor. It tasted awesome! This one not so much. It does taste slightly better in milk than water.MIXABILITY: Had no issues here. Mixed each scoop with 8 ounces of milk or water(just like it recommends) and the consistency was fine either way with no clumping. I used both types of liquid in shaker ball cup and a regular shaker cup and, again, no issues with either cup. I can't comment on mixing it in a glass(who does that anyway!) FYI, I shook it for about 20 seconds. So, a 10 out of 10 here.QUALITY: Myofusion seems to put high quality protein in their products. This blend contains a combination of slow, medium, and fast proteins(whey protein concentrate, milk protein isolate, whey protein isolate, and micellar casein listed in that order on the label) Now, if what I've read is true, then there probably isn't a lot of whey isolate or micellar casein in it. From what I've read, the proteins listed furtherest(is that a word?) from the first contain the smallest amount. Also, I would like to know how the isolate was processed. Was it ultra cold-filtered? Since Gaspari doesn't disclose this we may never know. It is also gluten free, synthetic color free, and is supposedly abundant in BCAA's. It says on the ingredient label that it contains Taurine. Again, how much? At least Gaspari disclosed how much Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine are in each serving(about 2 grams, 1.2 grams and 1.2 grams respectively) Pretty decent there. Okay, before I give my rating on quality, let me tell you about my main gripe(it's a big'un) with this protein, aside from taste....I didn't know this prior to buying it b/c I had not read any reviews on it, but as soon as I read the ingredient label I saw it contain PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED SOYBEAN OIL. That is not a good thing, especially for a protein. PHSO is essentially trans fat and is quite bad for you because it sticks to the walls of your arteries and will possibly eventually lead to heart problems. After I discovered this idiotic ingredient I checked online reviews to see if anyone else had beef with this and sure enough a bunch of people have complained about it. Why would you put that in there Gaspari? Oh wait, I know! You gave a lame excuse that was so lame I don't even remember what it was, but you can easily find it online. To be honest, really healthy people, like myself, can use this with the PHSO in it and it probably will not affect them much(at least not in the short term), though I wouldn't recommend it. But for unhealthy people this is a big no no. Might as well go fill up on Kit Kat bars. They certainly taste better.So, my rating for quality for this is, yep, you guessed it, a big fat goose egg 0 out of 10. I definitely will not be buying anymore of it. I probably will finish off this container because I really hate to waste money. So, I guess you could say all the other previous catergories I rated are a nonissue b/c of this. I had to rate the other catergories so it would be a complete review and not a review of one major issue.My recommendation is that you avoid this stuff and buy something tastier and healthier or wait for Gaspari to recall this stuff and "fix it". I just can't give this a good review knowing it's got PHSO in it, which is terribly bad for you. But if your health and well being are not important to you(they should be!) then go for it. There's nothing ELITE about Gaspari's new Myofusion, sadly:(

One of the best tasting

One of the best tasting proteins I've ever had. I could actually just drink this as a snack instead of something I choke down for the benefit of it after a work out. There are definitely some cheaper proteins out there, but for the taste I think this is worth a few extra bucks. It has the aminos and various types of proteins that I'm looking for.

I take it 3 times a day. I have no muscle soreness. I feel great. I workout an hour every morning.
