Tastes Great and Good for you

This powder has it all. The taste is great because you add a banana to make it a banana shake or peanut butter or chocolate syrup etc.You can mix it with Juice or milk and both ways are great.Trick your kids and add it to an ice cream shake. The amount of good vitamins and minerals in this is more then anything else I have come across. I have been a fan of this shake for over 10 years and now my son loves it too. When I was pregnant and could not keep any food down this shake kept me happy and healthy. A++++

Great for weight loss

As far as meal replacements go, this one tastes pretty good. It's smoother than any of the other powders I can find. If you don't used a blender, it will have some lumps. I still stir it in the glass because doing the whole blender thing for one shake is silly. The flavor and texture is better than the cheaper stuff, and believe you me, if I could go cheaper, I would. This is worth the cost.I use it for quick weight loss. A scoop gives about 110 to 130 cals per serving. Add your liquid calories and there is your calorie count. I like the ease of it because cutting weight and counting how many cals this apple has or this egg has is way more hassle than I'm willing to tolerate. When cutting weight, I want to concentrate on weight loss and not the other stuff. Easy.Against instructions, I replace all my meals with the shake for 2 weeks. It supposedly has all the vitamins you need for a day in each serving, so I believe it is nutritionally adequate. I also use 12 oz of whole milk. I've also used it for weight-maintenance as a replacement for breakfast and it is highly effective.I'm 5'10", male, and typically weigh 165-175 lbs (my personal ideal). I've used this shake to lose 20 lbs (yup, I'd ballooned up to 195 or so) and cut the weight in 14 days. And it stayed off until the holidays when I binged on turkey, gravy, and all the other goodies shoved in front of me from November to late December that tend to make me fat. In my inexpert opinion, it is healthier than the lemonade diet (mastercleanse) because it has a laundry list of vitamins and minerals that come in each serving unlike lemonade and syrup. And it cuts weight nearly as fast without the bounce-back.Two things that have been an issue for me so I am careful about it: I need a lot of water on this diet. Lots. The best way I've come up with keeping enough water is to carry a large container of water with me at work. The other is a desire to "reward" myself with a successful 20 lb cut by binging (typical of many diets). To combat that urge, I have a shake for breakfast as maintenance and completely disallow myself of eating out, choosing to only eat lunches from home and eating airpopped (no microwave garbage or lots of toppings; only the cal free spray topping and salt) popcorn after dinner.It's not that much fun to diet, but for me, 2 weeks of misery is much better than the "healthy" 3 months of misery when I want to shed a quick 20 lbs in anticipation of spring and summer. The results are quick, the nutrition is in there, and the shakes are pretty filling.Not as filling as the porterhouse steak, salad with all the toppings, and potato slathered in butter and sour cream would be, but filling enough to keep me from going crazy. I don't feel run-down on this diet. I can exercise on this diet (though nothing hard-core, but cycling or hiking a few miles are just fine on the diet). No lightheadedness like I got on the lemonade diet (which truly was horrible).Again, the results are fantastic. And isn't that the best motivator when trying to shed some pounds?

Spiru-Tein is the best!!!

My husband and I have one drink of Nature's Plus every morning and sometimes at lunch or for dinner.We started out with Vanilla. I add a handful of instant oatmeal- 2 baby carrots- a spoonful of peanut butter- 5 ice cubes- 1 cup 1% milk and you're hooked!The ice cubes make it like a real shake.I have a Vita Mix and that realy makes it blend well. I blend for 30 seconds.My husband uses the Vanilla with 1 cup of 1% milk - 4 TBS of Ovaltine - a handful of oatmeal- a spoonful of peanut butter- 5 ice cubes- blend for 30 seconds and I don't have to cook!I like the Strawberry. I take a cup of milk (1%)- 6 frozen strawberries- a handful of instant oatmeal- 2 baby carrots - and 4 ice cubes. Havenly and very satisfying and losing weight to boot!
